These core values are the system by which we filter our decision making so that we can promote a strong, moral, God glorifying culture. Our desire is that we display these attributes in every aspect of our daily lives closing the gap between Jesus’ perfect example and where we stand daily.
LOVE – Love first, before all things. God’s love was never conditional; therefore we will love without conditions.
GENEROSITY – We serve our community in radical and practical ways. We give to give, not for a return.
WORSHIP – Not just songs and music but using the way we live our lives to display God’s worth.
EXCELLENCE – Holding ourselves to a very high standard in word, deed, and appearance. We will go the extra mile in all we do.
DISCIPLINE – Committing ourselves to daily structure, training and conduct that produces growth.
RESPECT – Our only rule is respect. Respect yourself. Respect others. And respect the environment you’re in.
RELATIONSHIP – We are better together. We belong together.
HONOR – Revere God while valuing people and showing gratitude.
FUN – We enjoy it all!
THE BIBLE – The Bible is God’s word to all people. It is inspired of God, written by man under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, therefore it is true and is relevant to our daily lives.
(Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalms 119:11,105; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 15:4)
THE TRINITY – God exists is one in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and has existed in relationship with himself for all eternity. Each member of the Trinity serves a different function but each has equal power and authority.
(Genesis 1:26; Matthew 29:19; Hebrews 3:7-11)
THE FATHER – God is Great: He is powerful, He is Holy, He is all knowing, He is unchanging, He is ever-present, and He is completely worthy of our trust. God is Good: He is our Father, He is compassionate, He is loving and faithful to His people and His promises.
(Malachi 3:6; John 3:16, Acts 17:28)
THE SON – Jesus Christ is both completely God and completely man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. He is the only plan for salvation and reconciling people who are far from God back into right relationship with him. To do this he lived a perfect life so he could be the sacrificial substitution for God’s demands for perfection. He gave his life as that sacrifice on the cross and defeated death in his resurrection so that we could have life.
(Isaiah 7:14; Galatians 4:4-5; Colossians 1:15)
THE HOLY SPIRIT – He guides us in all truth, convicts us of sin, comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts and makes us more like Christ. His presence assures us of our relationship with God. He existence within us is evidenced by the fruits of the spirit, speaking in unknown tongues and gifts of the spirit.
(Genesis 1:2; Joel 2:28-32; Mark 1:10; Revelations 22:7)
THE CHURCH – The church is a community of believers who work together in unity for the ultimate goal of glorifying Christ. It commits to the teachings of Jesus Christ, obeying his commands, and bringing the good news of Salvation to the world.
(Matthew 16:18; Acts 16:5; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
MAN – Man was made in the image of God to walk in relationship with God. Through his choice to sinfully disobey he was separated from that relationship with God. Because of this choice, man cannot obtain right relationship with God on his own merit. Every person is uniquely made and deserving of Christ like love and respect.
(Genesis 1:26-30; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-20
REPENTANCE – Man was created whole and perfect but fell into sin by choice. Now the only hope of salvation for man is through Jesus Christ who asks us to repent of our sins, which is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and follow him. Through this act of repentance, we individually receive forgiveness from our sins through Jesus.
(Genesis 3:17; Acts 3:19; Romans 5:12-21)
SALVATION – Salvation is not something that can be earned through our human efforts. It is solely given as a gift by the grace of God to those who put their faith in the fact that the death and resurrection of Jesus was sufficient payment for their sin. Jesus’ sacrificial shedding of blood on the Cross is the only way of salvation for the forgiveness of sin.
(Isaiah 1:18; Matthew 1:21; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 9:22-28)
PRAYER – Through Jesus’ salvation, we now have direct access to God and prayer is how we communicate with him. No great thing can be done without prayer preceding it and continuing through it.
(Psalms 145:18; Luke 18:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
BAPTISM – A public profession of one’s faith that God demands but salvation does not rely on. We practice full immersion baptism that symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38, 10:47-48)
COMMUNION – Communion is taken by believers in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and is done through sharing the elements of bread (the body) and juice (the blood).
(Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25)
FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY – The ministry positions of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are gifts given to the church for the edification and equipping of believer to be able to spread the gospel. We believe that both men and women are chosen by God for these ministry positions.
(1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:8-13; Philippians 14:3)
HEALTH & PROSPERITY – Through Jesus’ work of salvation it is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy and live successful lives in every area.
SECOND COMING – Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish his authority on earth. This will occur at a time undisclosed by scripture. So, we live everyday in expectation of Christ’s return.
(Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:9-11; Revelations 1:7)
ETERNITY – Heaven and Hell are real and eternal places. Man was created to live forever and will do so either eternally separated from God by sin in Hell or eternally in union with God through salvation in Heaven.
(Mark 9:43-48; John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelations 20:12-15)
